R. Grace Zhai, SRF Award Recipient, Promoted to Senior Associate Dean at UM

The Snyder-Robinson Foundation is excited to congratulate R. Grace Zhai, Ph.D, on her recent promotion as the Senior Associate Dean for Basic Science Research at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Zhai, who was the recipient of the 2019 Snyder-Robinson Syndrome Outstanding Researcher Award, has demonstrated innovation and excellence through her research of Snyder-Robinson Syndrome (SRS). Her research replicating and studying SRS in fruit flies has provided a deeper understanding of the causes and impacts of SRS, which has led to the identification of possible treatment methods, and has laid the foundation for advancing the research into mammals.

We are immensely grateful for Dr. Zhai’s significant contributions to the SRS community and we wish her continued success in her new position.
